How it works

1 practical guide about how it works.

AI image provenance is not one switch. A file can contain a visible badge, removable EXIF/XMP or C2PA metadata, and an imperceptible pixel signal such as SynthID. Each layer requires a different operation, so a useful workflow starts by identifying what is actually present.

Delete SynthID removes supported metadata, repairs known visible marks, and then regenerates pixels remotely inside an isolated, no-network container. Regeneration can alter fine details and does not guarantee a negative result from every detector. Start with the general remover, compare the SynthID workflow, or read how C2PA removal differs.

ISOLATE THE PROCESS

What Private, Offline Image Processing Should Actually Mean

A remote no-network CPU container narrows processing access, but storage, host networking, logs, downloads, and retention matter too.
